The Rivals on the valley fringe:

Nagarkot, Dhulikhel & Kakani that make up the valley fringe are always competing with each other to give the tourists the best view. All the three places are about an hour’s drive from Kathmandu city and a one night spot for tourist. Nagarkot offers the broadest possible view of the Himalayas, that too from the comfort of your rooms.

Dhulikhel on the other hand has a charm of its own. A typical newari town where you can enjoy a short walk with the panoramic view of the Himalayas. Kakani, the quieter and relaxed place compared to the two previous places. But the view from the high points on the ridge is just magnificent.
